Weekly Newsletter: What happened on the Cosmos ecosystem this week? November 28 β€” December 4

1. Osmosiszone V13 is almost here!

Great features are coming along with it, including:

  • Stableswap
  • IBC Rate Limiting
  • Wasmd 0.29

StableSwap was long-awaited and allows for trades between pegged or nearly pegged assets to occur with minimal price impact. It is also useful for liquid staking derivatives that trade against their native asset, such as OSMO/stOSMO.

2. Buy crypto directly on your Keplr
Dashboard!

Keplr has introduced a fiat-to-crypto solution in partnership with Moonpay and Transak. You can now use your card to buy crypto and have it directly deposited into your wallet.

This is just the beginning. More fiat-to-crypto solutions, such as Kado, will be added.

3. Kujira launched BOW

BOW is a new product that delivers a better trading experience on FIN by narrowing the price spread and deepening the liquidity pools.

Six liquidity pools are already live on BOW.

4. A new delegation system has been launched on Stride!

430,000 ATOM are currently staked on Stride, and these ATOM will be staked to 32 validators chosen based on a score evaluated by the Stride Advisory Council.

Anyone could apply to be part of the council. Stride Labs chose five people based on their knowledge of the ecosystem and their reputations. The council will change over time, and anyone can apply again.

5. The AXL airdrop website is live!

Axelar has launched its airdrop website, and early users of http://satellite.money will receive an $AXL airdrop. Eligibility and program terms should be available on the website soon.

That’s it for the week!

1. The Interchain Nameservice is coming

ICNS allows users to create a single, consistent name for themselves that can be used across the Cosmos ecosystem, while also allowing them to differentiate between their accounts on different chains.

Users will be able to claim their ICNS names by verifying their Twitter handles.

2. Cosmos data has been added on Flipside

You can now track different trends, activities, and create charts on the Cosmos Hub using Flipside.

Flipside is also coming on Osmosis

3. Glimpse of Mars Protocol

Some members had the opportunity to try the Mars protocol a testnet. The interface was impressive. Mars is a lending and borrowing protocol that plans to implement outposts on different app-chains, starting with Osmosis.

4. Stride is coming on Evmos!

After Cosmos Hub, Osmosis, Juno, Stargaze and Injective, it’s now Evmos’ turn to have its stEVMOS. With this solution, users will be able to earn 130% of staking rewards, as well as DeFi yields.

A $STRD airdrop is also coming for Evmos stakers.

5. Harbor Protocol airdrop

You can now check your eligibility for the $HARBOR airdrop, the Interchain Stablecoin Protocol on Comdex.

Weekly Newsletter: What happened on the Cosmos ecosystem this week? December 19–25

1/ Interchain Name Service is now live.

You can now claim your ICNS, which is your name for the Interchain. With that, you can use Keplr to send tokens directly by writing the Twitter handle of the person you want to send tokens to!

Before claiming, be aware that verifying ownership of your Twitter account is required. Your ICNS could permanently link your Twitter identity to your crypto wallet.

If you want to preserve your identity, claim your ICNS with a new wallet that is not linked to your previous ones

2/ Cosmos prop 88 has passed

Prop 88 has passed with 97.73% of YES votes. The proposal changed the community tax from 2% to 10%. This will help to increase the community pool, which was in a poor state, and help fund coming initiatives.

Staking APR on the Cosmos Hub is now at 20.01%.

3/ Lava network supports the Cosmos Hub!

Lava now offers decentralized access to the Cosmos Hub Mainnet & Testnet RPC. Wallets and dapps built on the Cosmos Hub can use Lava’s testnet to get direct access to data from the Cosmos Hub using an RPC endpoint.

You can apply for early access directly on their Discord πŸ‘‡

4/ Welcome to Cosmos, Syntropy!

Syntropy decided to switch from Polkadot to Cosmos for their Web3 development. The project is designed to solve issues prevalent in the current Internet framework, including security, privacy, and governance.

They decided to choose Cosmos because it offers more flexibility, better governance, interoperability, and scalability.

5/ Nibiru Chain launched its Testnet Phase 2!

Niburu is a blockchain that unifies leveraged derivatives trading, spot trading, staking, and bonded liquidity provision into a seamless user experience. They recently launched Phase 2 with new features.
